Press release, December 16, 2016: Following an anti-racism workshop at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, the two lecturers, Tahir Della (ISD) and Timo Kiesel, were defamed by the youth organization of the AfD (Alternative for Germany party) while suggesting a critical perspective on racial profiling. We consider racial profiling to be a discriminatory and inhumane practice.

As students at Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main, we wish to strongly condemn the decision by the university’s Office for Gender Equality to end its collaboration with representatives of glokal e.V., thereby legitimizing the defamatory statements made by the Junge Alternative Frankfurt am Main.
