For over 15 years, we have been working on feminist and decolonial approaches in development education. Now that the BMZ also wishes to pursue this strategy, we invite those active in the field of education to learn about these approaches.

9:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.: Feminist Approaches to Development Education (Cima-Nadja Samadi, Lawrence Oduro-Sarpong)
12:00 – 1:00 p.m.: Group lunch (at participants’ own expense)
1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.: Anti-racist approaches to inclusive visual language in development policy advocacy (Cornelia Schneider and Nora Benariba).
4:00 p.m.–6:30 p.m.: 3. Decolonial Pedagogy in Development Education (Anna Gold and Jeasuthan Nageswaran)
Our professional exchange offers the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of gender-equitable and decolonial approaches with education specialists and other interested individuals, to recognize the significance of these perspectives in development education, and to exchange ideas and network.
