In collaboration with the research project“How to Address Racism, Sexism, and Antisemitism (RSA) in Works of Classical German Philosophy,” we are developing a timeline for our e-learning tool www.connecting-the-dots.org on the topic of human rights and global philosophy.
The timeline can be viewed here. A short smartphone version will also be available soon.
In the curriculum at German universities, perspectives from the Global South remain underrepresented. In philosophy education and pedagogy, the perspectives of German philosophers and philosophers from the Global North continue to dominate.
The new timeline on human rights and global philosophy addresses this gap.
We address both fundamental philosophical questions and contemporary issues related to global justice and human rights from multiple perspectives, both historical and contemporary.
In this way, a development policy perspective is incorporated as a cross-cutting theme into philosophical research and the field of philosophy education.
