This week marks the start of the weekly “Paths of Remembrance” city tours between Wilhelmstraße and the “African Quarter.” The tours are a collaboration between the City Museum, Dekoloniale!, Kolonialismus Erinnern, and glokal. The tour invites participants to view public space as a place of learning and remembrance and to critically examine colonial continuities in the urban landscape. The tour itself is conducted on foot. The route between Anton-Wilhelm-Amo-Straße and the “African Quarter” is covered by subway.
Note: A valid BVG ticket is required. As part of the tour, a survey will be conducted in collaboration with the Institute for Social Sciences at Humboldt University in Berlin. Participation is voluntary and anonymous.
