The German-Turkish city tour will take place in Berlin-Charlottenburg on June 19, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
As we walk along Berlin’s Hardenbergstraße, we explore the themes of persecution, flight, and genocide through the life stories of Jewish, Armenian, Communist, and Social Democratic figures, gaining insights into the complex web of Armenian-German-Turkish relations.
The city tour will be led by historian Eike Stegen, who designed it together with our glokal colleague Doğan Akhanlı. Translated into Turkish by Perihan Zeran (glokal e.V.).
The event is taking place as part of the exhibition “Re-Membering: Traces of Armenian Life in the Diaspora,” organized by the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Museum and Akebi e.V. in cooperation with Houshamadyan e.V.
