Training for Educators on Colonial History and Continuities October 6, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Due to high demand, we are once again offering the “Global Remembering in WeltRaum” training program for educators this fall. It is designed for political education professionals. Sign up!

European colonialism is a defining factor shaping the present in a globalized world. It has left a deep mark and created continuities that are still felt today—and that we can also find right here in Berlin!

In 2024, glokal e.V., ISD-Bund e.V., and EPIZ-Berlin e.V. developed a workshop concept that can also be implemented in EPIZ’s WeltRaum, taking advantage of its digital capabilities.

In the multimedia student workshop “Global Memory: Traces of Colonialism in Berlin’s Past and Present,” we explore the multifaceted consequences of colonial rule: from the destruction of and resistance by Indigenous cultures in the Americas, through economic exploitation, to ongoing social inequalities and current political conflicts.

We cordially invite you to learn about this concept and use it in your educational work!

When: October 6, 2025, 9:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Where: at EPIZ-WeltRaum in the Global Village, at Am Sudhaus in Berlin-Neukölln
