Are you involved in political education and interested in learning about and using new materials?

glokal and ISD-Bund, in cooperation with EPIZ, have developed a multimedia workshop concept for students in 10th grade and above based on the glokal e-learning tool“connecting the dots”: our timeline method. The timeline method was recognized at the 2018 WeltWeitWissen Congress as an outstanding example of global learning and education for sustainable development.

The resulting workshop concept, “Colonialism Reloaded? The Economy Between Power and History,” includes an interactive quiz, biographies on power and resistance, explanatory videos by experts on neocolonial economic structures, decolonial perspectives on land grabbing, the exploitation of natural resources, trade asymmetries, and the climate crisis, and a theater-based educational session on power and resistance.

The workshop incorporates multimedia elements and is tailored to the capabilities of EPIZ’s digital “WeltRaum” at the Global Village (BGV), but can also be conducted on a mobile basis in schools.

Speakers: Mauricio Pereyra (EPIZ, Program Coordinator for Global Learning and Digitalization), Carolin Philipp and Perihan Zeran (glokal e.V.), Tahir Della (Program Coordinator for Decolonization and Anti-Racism in Development Policy Issues)
